Andrew Arbuckle says SNP figures don't add up

Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Tuesday 16th January) gave their support to Scottish LibDem Finance spokesperson Andrew Arbuckle MSP who has slammed the SNP response to figures showing the cross border public spending gap is narrowing.

Mr Arbuckle said, "We have seen record investment in public services in Scotland, but the Nationalists would have us believe that they can spend more than the Executive and tax less. This is not a credible position."

Dundee LibDem spokesperson and former SNP councillor Allan Petrie said, "The SNP position is simply bizarre; they will spend more and tax less - it is a recipe for bankruptcy."
