Dundee Liberal Democrat city councillor for Strathmartine Ward

Dundee born and bred, Helen has lived in the Strathmartine area all her life.

Helen has a BSc (Hons) in Systems Technology and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. She worked in the human resources field for many years. Apart from editing FOCUS, Helen is a keen artist and also enjoys gardening in her spare time.

Helen was elected to the City Council in May 2003 to represent the people of Strathmartine, which now includes Downfield, Kirkton, Ardler, St Mary's, the Brackens and surrounding areas.

Helen works very hard for the local area and believes that the hallmark of a good councillor is their effectiveness as a local representative.

Helen serves on the Executive Committee of Dundee Liberal Democrats and has also been Vice Convener of the Environmental Services and Sustainability Committee of Dundee City Council.
