Dundee LibDem councillor highlights Post Office fears

Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Tuesday 26th February) expressed "deep concern" at the handling of the Post Office 'Network Change Programme' for restructuring the sub-post office network.
Dundee City Councillor for the West End Ward, Cllr Fraser Macpherson said, "The 'consultation period' for the programme insofar as it covers North East Scotland, Tayside and Fife commences on 28th May and it is vital that we do all we can to protect our local Post Offices.
"Post Office Limited has already announced many branches earmarked for closure in other parts of Scotland and across the UK.
"Post offices are at the heart of local communities and we must do our utmost to preserve them. Local people rely on their local services and it is clear from closures to date that they have shown complete disregard for the needs of the local population."
