Dundee LibDems welcome party's proposals for Scottish Water

Murray Dick welcomes party's proposals for Scottish Water
Dundee LibDems today (Tuesday 6th February) welcomed news that the Scottish Liberal Democrats have unveiled a plan to make Scottish Water a mutual company, so as to secure the future of the nationalised utility and ensure an improved service for customers.
Launching the plan, Environment Minister Ross Finnie MSP said, "Mutualisation would free Scottish Water from the constraints of the public sector and allow it to operate in the most efficient manner possible."
Locally, here in Dundee, LibDem spokesperson Murray Dick said, "Scottish Water would benefit from mutualisation, as Sir Ian Byatt, the Water Industry Commissioner for Scotland, has highlighted.
"The LibDems oppose privatisation of Scottish Water and the mutualisation proposal will give the organisation the change it needs to ensure it carries out its £1.8bn investment plans."
