Liberal Democrat Finance Convener welcomes benefits initiative
Cllr Fraser Macpherson, Liberal Democrat Convener of Finance on Dundee City Council, has welcomed the City Council's "The Spotlight's on Benefit Fraud" initiative, to help ensure that benefits, including Housing and Council Tax Benefits administered by the City Council, are paid to those rightly entitled to them and help stamp out benefit fraud. Fraser said, "Anyone who defrauds the system is robbing honest citizens of resources and I would appeal to people to support this campaign. The council is determined to rigorously pursue those who put forward fraudulent claims."
